Stephen Lehew, Vocalist

We are extremely honored to have this extraordinary gifted artist, who brings such a great spiritual depth to his music, as our premier vocalist for over twenty-five years. Stephen made his Broadway debut in the musical revue, Rodgers and Hart, and takes delight in having been chosen for this by Richard Rodgers. Prior to that, he was featured as Henrik Egeman in the first national company of Stephen Sondheim’s, A Little Night Music, starring Jean Simmons and directed by Harold Prince. He received critical and public acclaim for his performance as Charlie Dalrymple in the Broadway revival of Brigadoon. He has also appeared in the title roles of The Student Prince, Candide, and Jesus Christ Superstar. Off-Broadway, Stephen has performed leading roles for Manhattan Theatre Club, and Playwright’s Horizons.

Stephen’s concert appearances include: “The New York Pops at Carnegie Hall,” principal guest artist performances with the Utah and Indianapolis symphonies, and his solo performance, “Stephen Lehew in Concert” at Avery Fisher Hall. For many years, he has been a continuing guest vocalist for award-winning composer, Marvin Hamlisch, appearing with over twenty-five American symphony orchestras, and in the PBS television presentation of “Evening at Pop’s” and the A&E television presentation of “Pop’s Goes the Fourth.”
