Olga Butterworth
Our beloved Olga Butterworth passed away a few hours past Christmas Day 2007.
When our loved ones make their transition from this physical dimension to their next station on the everlasting journey, a part of them still lingers here with us gently in the background of our hearts and lives. In that way, Olga’s soul presence lingers with all who loved her, including those who knew her through her many years of devoted service to God through the Unity Center in New York.
Olga has been a vital part of the Unity Sunday Services since 1972, when she joined her husband, Eric Butterworth, to add her beautiful and poetic meditations to the Sunday experience. She and Eric became a dynamic team in bringing the Unity Message of Truth to life, and her meditations have been an inspiration to countless thousands of Unity students. As did Eric, she dedicated her life to helping all people to know their oneness with God.
Olga’s recorded series of meditations from Unity’s Spiritual Therapy Workshops are classic. In addition to her meditations, she has also served as spiritual counselor, and conducted lecture series at The Center.
And for many years, she served The Unity Center in an administrative capacity. On June 5th, 2005, Olga was ordained as Minister by Rev. Richard Billings in a beautiful and moving ceremony at The Center. Olga was greatly loved and respected by all who know her.
We at Unity, along with all of you, bless Olga Butterworth on her way to her next level of soul growth, along with her beloved Eric.
